I'm finding myself needing to take breaks from this sort of content more & more as I get older. Especially dealing w/depression. The children gone so young, the indifference of some 'human beings' to the preciousness of human life; I thought I'd been desensitized to most of the darkness in this world, but some stories remind you how ugly we really can be.

That poor mother who found her mutilated son’s body… her voice when she called 911… I can’t imagine the shock her brain went into so she could withstand that sight and the ptsd she’d have to deal with afterwards. If my mother found my body like that in her own house? God I don’t think she’d live much long after.
