Loved the movements in this flow. And, interestingly, I just, this week, decided to look up why we chant "Om." I loved what I found out. That it's literally the frequency of the Earth, and by vibrating that chant in our throats, we are aligning ourselves with the Earth's energy. <3
As a fellow yoga teacher, I really appreciate this challenge in particular. It's so important to see yoga as a lifestyle that goes beyond the physical, and one with a deep and rich history. Thank you so much for putting together and sharing this 30-day challenge, I've loved every minute. And as a new mom, the 10-min physical practices have been perfect to allow me to still get in my daily dose of yoga! Thanks for all that you do and looking forward to the rest of the challenge and beyond!
CAT!!! I love it that cats appear in their natural habitat
Your challenge had me finally start reading this book from dad's personal library titled "Shalat: An Amazing Easy Yoga", written by a yoga practitioner & doctor of naturopathy. He explains how shalat (moslem prayers) movements are actually yoga and is important for mind & body. It resonates a lot to me as a yogi-moslem. Recommending this book to fellow moslem (or anyone, really) out hereππ½
Good morning and Happy Easter to all who celebrate. Thank you for this beautiful practice to start the dayπ
I love seeing your cat check in!
Thought your followers would like to see this ancient Sanskrit poem which I look at everydayππ given to me by my yoga teaching sister π₯° LOOK WELL TO THIS DAY FOR IT IS LIFE THE VERY BEST OF LIFE IN ITS BRIEF COURSE LIE ALL THE REALITIES & TRUTHS OF EXISTENCE- THE JOY OF GROWTH, THE SPLENDOUR OF ACTION, THE GLORY OF POWER; FOR YESTERDAY IS BUT A MEMORY & TOMORROW IS ONLY A VISION, BUT TODAY IF WELL LIVED, MAKES EVERY YESTERDAY A MEMORY OF HAPPINESS & EVERY TOMORROW A VISION OF HOPE - LOOK WELL THEREFORE TO THIS DAY.π
I love this challenge. It's always wonderful to learn something new with an open inner child mind. Namaste.
Thank you Kassandra for the combination of yoga and challenge - I am so grateful that you make me use both body and mind β€β€β€β€
Hi sweet teacher. I just came back to the second parts of these lessons you gave us for body and mind. I was in a crazy place when I did the dailies. So, now Iβm calmer and ready to do som mind work too. Iβm so grateful the universe pointed me to day nine. Iβm so attached to everything. Yoga is helping me with that. I loved learning about one ancient mention of yoga in the Indian culture and philosophy. It speaks to a true attainment of yoga requires among other things the stone, the dirt and gold are all the same to a person attaining yoga. Interesting. Iβm less inclined to care about the monetary or value society gives objects or substances than I used to be. Maybe Iβm moving in the right direction. You are the best. Thank you! Hugs. Iβm 62 and still need a lot of growth and learning. πβοΈπ§π»ββοΈ
for this practise I read an interesting article about samskara's (old patterns), habits in our deepest self, which when discovered, recognised and dealt with, can help us heal our innerself, getting stronger and more aware of the things we block, are scared of or just need more attention.... really helpful, thanks again for the practise :)
Powerful work Kassandra, I am enjoying these parts of the challenge. Such a beautiful way of expanding ourselves. Thank you. π₯°
You are simply the best at teaching yoga and explaining everything. π
I loved the Sadguru videos about the freeing and releasing effects of Yoga. Thank you β€
Love this challenge! And that the cat (wisest of creaturesπ ) pops up as you start talking about learning, alignments β€π
I'm loving this classes. I've been doing them all on my desktop PC. I really enjoy it. By Amy Luwis. * Healing yoga for neck & shoulder pain. Easy, effective practice for Releasing Tension & Relieving pain. By Carol Krucoff, E-Ryt. *Yoga for You. By Rebecca Rissman. *Morning Yoga Workouts. Asanas and Vinyasas for more energized a.m. sessions. By: Zack Kurland *Yoga The Poetry of the Body. By: Rodney Yee with Nina Zolotow. These are Great books. β€ππΎππΎππΎ
I am a student in a Natha Yoga school, in the teaching program so I have some knowledge about yoga philosophy and I am glad you talk about it here because it's all about the entire experience of the body, the mind and the energy, the union of the being and I love the part about not to identify with anything. Neti Neti. It helped me a lot.
I felt like learning something new when I woke up today and - tadah - here it is! I'm gonna learn more about yoga! πβ₯οΈ Thanks, Kassandra, for providing books and links you recommend. You had me at Sadhguru. π
I have been wanting to learn more about yoga philosophy but it can seem really daunting! I appreciate this challenge and it couldnt have come at a better time, thank you so so much!!
