My favourite part about visiting Mauritius in May-June? The weather! It was chef’s kiss. I hate humid climate in general and weather can make such a huge difference in your overall mood and how the vacation ends up feeling.

I feel Mother Nature has provided us with the best hack when it comes to weather variations. The southern hemisphere is generally great for visiting during its winter months, which is the opposite of the northern hemisphere. Some more destinations to consider and why -

📌 Argentina - April-November is best for the central and northern parts. July is the coldest month of the country. Also May to July are the best months to spot Aurora Australis or Southern lights in Argentina.

📌 Australia - July is the coldest month of Australia with an average low of 12 °C. But perfect if you are a winter lover and want to escape the Indian summer. This is also otherwise a low tourist season, so everything is cheaper.

📌 Botswana - If you’re not looking for winters per se, May to October is actually the best dry season for Botswana. Average temperatures range from 22-35°C. Nights are quite chilly.

📌 Fiji - This is a tropical paradise and the best month to visit are May-Oct. Think sunny skies, low humidity and little rain. Average temperatures range from 17-25°C

📌Namibia - Has to be my favourite country so far! Although it is a hot desert destination, between May to October the temperature is milder at an average of 20°C. The sun is harsh but there’s little rainfall and lots of wildlife.

📌 Peru - The winter (May – September) is the driest season and the best time of year to travel, especially if you’re planning to visit Cusco or trek to Machu Picchu

📌 Seychelles - May to October are some of the best months to visit this other East African tropical island. Temperature ranges between 27-28°C

📌 South Africa - best time to visit is from May to September! Average temperature ranges between -2 to 26°C and wildlife viewing in this period is amazing.

But of course, this is a general guide, be sure to read on the conditions and accommodate for weather changes per actual locations that you’re visiting in any country!

India falls under a perfect climate umbrella. When it's summer is north. Come to south ( Ooty, Kodaikanal, Chikmagalur and Coorg) and if summer is south then go to north or Sikkim as well.
