Going to sell loads and loads. Expect to see them everywhere. Very well designed for families that just need a car to do stuff.
Nice, nice, nice. Just the Privacy glass in the rear needed. Did I say Nice? I think I did. Another great and thorough review.
I drove the Atto 3 when it first came out and was impressed with the drive and the tech inc as standard but yes, put off by the quirky interior. Hoping BYD will refresh that in line with this Atto 2 style. Also driven the Seal which was similarly a great drive although personally not keen on saloon styling! This Atto 2 looks interesting and would be interested to try but probably wait until the larger battery version with faster charging speed comes out in Q4. It would be interesting to compare with the Kia EV3 which I understand people like but I haven’t driven yet. Big market segment this. Competition will be strong.
Nice one, but needs the bigger battery, and faster recharge then. And I would say, tinted back and rear windows would make it look even better.
Thanks for reviewing so well,.. hope this car will be sold in Cambodia soon.
It looks like a very nice car and it could be a contender, but will wait until the facelifted Dolphin arrives next year.
BYD will finally be heading to Lithuania and Latvia. Both these markets will get the Seal, Seal U, Sealion 7 and Atto 3 (the Atto 2 is also coming to Latvia - I'm sure Lithuania will get the Atto 2 later down the line). I can't wait to hear what BYD models will come to Czechia, Slovakia and Romania (should they enter this year).
Hi Derek, if you think of it, can you mention the outside temperature when driving (give us an idea of temperature conditions in respect of efficiency ... Madrid looked warm)? Also, whether the wireless charging pad is ventilated or not. Thank you.
It looks like it won't have the God's Eye ADAS system because I couldn't see any additional cameras on the front wings of the car.
This model confuses me. It’s a C segment car, same size as a Kia EV3, but with a lot less range. i expect the bigger battery version will be the same price an an entry level EV3 and I know which I’d choose and it’s not the BYD! Really needs to come in around £28,000 in the UK with the bigger battery to make sense.
what is the price of this?
Just like the larger 60kwh Dolphin, the upgraded model should get the independent rear suspension.
I'm not sure about the back view. As per other comments, it needs the bigger battery. Interesting car in a competitive market. Price will decide a lit of sales as we do not have any real history with the brands.
Very impressive looking, ticks a lot of boxes. Any idea on pricing ??
It looks like the speech recognition system has improved because BYD's system didn't work with Scottish accents. I know that you are Irish, but the accents are similar.
The screen rotating portrait can come in handy for navigation and spotify or radio but other than that not much else. You could easily live without it. Android auto also doesn't work on portrait
Same size as an EV3 (just 100mm taller). I'd much rather have an EV3 but I'm a bit biased😊
Needs a bigger battery and needs to significantly undercut the EV3 to make it attractive. Even then the range of the EV3 puts this to shame and with range anxiety being the No1 blocker for most it will win out. Which gets back to my first point, it needs to significantly undercut it to stand a chance.
Very boring front design to this. A pity. BYD should be more daring with their designs. Looks like a copy of a Smart #1 at the rear side quarter. But otherwise I actually think it looks very nice along the side and rear views and the interior is very nice too.
