Thanks for this. I am 65 and reverted in November 2024. This is wonderful information. Mashallah. Your YouTube persona is also engaging. May Allah bless and reward you for this message. Just subbed.
As an atheist, I think this is a coincidence, but it doesn't matter because all religions come from polytheism.
Holy Quran 41:37 37 “Among His signs are the day and the night, the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them ˹all˺, if you ˹truly˺ worship Him ˹alone˺.” Subhan’Allah! Allah is aware of all the questions and false accusations amongst all human beings
Shukran for the beautiful explanation my sister.May Allah grant you jannah.Ameen
I was having a debate with a Christian, and he claimed that Muslims worship the moon god. I asked him for proof, and he said that Muslims use the moon to determine Ramadan and other important dates because of the lunar calendar. I responded by pointing out that Jews also use a lunar calendar and observe the phases of the moon. I then said, "By your logic, Christians worship the sun god, as they use a solar calendar. Additionally, Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25th, which coincides with the birthday of the sun god Mithra." He ignored this and said that Muslims have the crescent moon at the top of mosques and on Islamic flags. I replied, "Christians also use the sun in their religious symbolism. In images of Jesus, for example, he is often depicted with a sun halo around his head. However, as Muslims, we do not use the moon to represent God. We do not create depictions of God and place symbols like the sun behind His figure." After all of this, he dismissed my points and began to say that Prophet Muhammad was a liar and worshiped the moon god.
Masha'Allah! May Allah SWT reward you abundantly
Jesus called his lord as Allah in his Aramaic language too
I like how you use clickbait to get Christians to think your ‘exposing’ Islam when in fact your just educating them 👏🏽
It was Robert Morey, a christian evangelist that popularized this muslim worshipped the "moon god" thing. The arabs during the time of the Prophet (pbuh) worshipped lots of different gods or idols BUT they still believed that there is Only One True God, ALLAH. In other words, they associated partners with ALLAH. That's why they are called MUSHRIKEEN.
some peoples think that some verses refute these ideas that they are not true. first thing you need to ask is why there is such an idea, it means there is a possibility of this
Salam from Bosnia smart sister 👏🏻
Salaam sister this s our answer to those unbelievers who falsely misleading people that muslims worship's moon or "moongod"? "And from among His Signs are the night & the day & the sun & the moon. Prostrate yourselves NOT to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate yourselves to ALLAh, Who created them, if you (really) worship Him." (Holy Qur-an, 41- 37).
yups, the thing is even prophet abraham, Moses, etc they born in jahiliyah tribe but doesn't mean they are worshipping Idol xD May Allah SWT make everything easy for you sister :)
This video and this lady really really make a lot of sense.. learning here thank you.
the name of the moon god of arabs is hubal and it is clear that hubal is not the one that muslims worship, in (Sahih al-Bukhari 3039) in the battle of Uhud, Abu sufyan (before he become a muslim) said O Hubal, be high! (1) On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to his companions), "Why don't you answer him back?" They said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) What shall we say?" He said, "Say, Allah is Higher and more Sublime."
It really surprises me that non-Muslims do not know such simple issues. The crescent and star are simple symbols used by the Ottomans, neither Turks nor Arabs worshipped the moon or stars in the past. It is the Westerners who associate this symbol with Islam. We did not object because there was no harm in them thinking this way. The Ottomans used this symbol as a state emblem on mosque tops and important places. They did not use it as a religious symbol. After all, since it was an Islamic empire, this symbol meant that it was a region where Muslims lived and it created a religious perception, this is true.
Merci Rosy pour cette explication. Ce n'est pas évident de tout connaître, il faut, comme tu dis, de lire et d'avoir un esprit ouvert pour mieux comprendre la réalité et son évolution selon l'histoire. ❤❤❤
The crescent moon and star were tribal symbols used by the Seljuk Turks who we know as the Ottomans. The Ottomans used these symbols as a declaration of Ottoman colonization in the territories they ruled. The symbols should never have been adopted into Islam as they originated in the pagan culture of the Seljuks before they chose Islam as their religion.
This is good info, I’m not Muslim, but I do know that the crescent moon or any other thing is a god, only one God praises to Him!
