I volunteered for 6 years in the hospital, palliative care, retirement home, etc., and most of the people there were world war 2 veterans. it's interesting to see or imagine what they may have been like during their younger years.
Amazing how adding color really makes it come alive.
My Grandfather was in Berlin on occupation duty. I keep hoping I might see him in one of these films! Do you have any of the 82nd? He was in the honor guard.
People dressed so well! Classy, well ironed hair, perfect! Grandmothers were right !
The Clip Starting at 0:42 should/could be in Wiesbaden at the intersection of Bundestraße 54 and Bundestraße 263. The distances to Frankfurt and Mainz match up. Fascinating to me as german is, that the Roadnumbers haven´t changed if i am correct. Google Maps coordinates: 50.07166711152266, 8.24848921828021
Really nice to see these colorized, looks like it was just a few days ago; thanx for what u do!🇺🇸
Amazing video! So clear & lifelike
This is EXCELLENT! The early days of the modern day Military Police Corps. I was a U.S. Army MP from 80 - 85.
Wow this was really neat. Thanks
Conducting these searches in their homeland would have proved far more fruitful.
Lord, but the music! I mean I know you're going for drama, but 😬😬😬
Note the M1 Carbines in use, Occupation soldiers were still using them even into the early 1960s when the M14 was adopted. A few guys I know who were stationed there trained on the Carbine in target practice in West Germany when it was split.
very interesting! but why does the music have to be so creepy and annoying?
