This is very educational information specifically for first time cruisers wanting to book a cruise by using a Travel Agent. Always go directly to the website to seek information and possibly get referrals for a reputable Travel Agent. As a TA that gets clients mostly by referrals this is horrible! Thanks for sharing.

This happened to me last week. I didn't give them any information thank God. They said that my cruise price went down and I have to pay them $800 to book the new price and I would be refunded the the other full price cruise later. Sad! I called them back today and pretend that I had a Royal Caribbean and a Norwegian cruise planned and I needed information. They said that they handled them too. I told them off and hung up! Thanks for letting everyone know about this scam.

I got a call from "carnival" and "royal Caribbean" on the same day trying to sell me a cruise. I immediately hung up.

This just happened to me. I only gave them my booking number and ended up paying them "docking fees" cause they said I still owed that. we cruise out tomorrow. ugg I am usually so on top of these scammers but they got me. calling my bank to try and dispute the charge, fingers crossed.
