@Looper

Which of these movies do you think is the worst?

@edwardsimpson119

The producers of Jem & The Holograms asked fans to submit videos talking about why they loved the original cartoon, then turned around and cut the footage to make it look like they were talking about the band in the movie. Super scummy.

@extraterrestrialfascisti7625

Back in the 1980's we called these types of movies "Straight to video"

@rumrunner8019

I can't believe that infamous "Jem and the Holograms" flop is already ten years old.

@Blood_faerie

As a baby GenXer.... oh the rage that Jem movie inspires..... here, those of us that were fans of the cartoon were sooooo excited when they announced there would be a movie and then they posted casting as they do and we were like uh...... well.... let's give it a chance............ then the trailer and realizing it had NOTHING to do with the cartoon AT ALL. That they probably grabbed some teeny bopper movie that was in construction and decided to slap the name on it and shoehorn in maybe a reference or two.... but was not a Jem and the Holograms movie!! I need to go sit down bc just looking at that is making my blood pressure skyrocket, lol

@cyclops214

I worked at a theater in the early 90s. There was a movie called Popcorn. It was a horror flick and it was pulled after only one day I don't even think it lasted the full day.

@graham1034

I watched Postal on opening night at the world premiere. There were 4 other people in the theater: one person i went with, Uwe Boll, and 2 others. We ended up chatting with Uwe for a bit and got a signed copy of the game. I'll remember that surreal experience forever.

Edit: i almost forgot, Uwe gave a 10 minute rant before the movie started about how he hates critics.

@DngnRdr

Uwe Boll didn't build a reputation for video game movies being terrible, it built a reputation for Uwe Boll movies being terrible.

@richerDiLefto

Jem and the Holograms had nothing to offer anyone, so it’s no wonder it flopped. It wasn’t nostalgic to the people who watched it as kids because it bore no resemblance to the original. It didn’t appeal to the younger generations either because they never grew up with it. Pray tell, who was it made for? 🤷🏻‍♀️

@MrWyzdum

I totally missed how Pete Davidson became a big deal.

@michaelsasse8427

I don't know what is sadder. A Pete Davidson movie or the people that were in line to see it. He looks like Gollum with a toupe.

@TheScarlettrouge

If Jem and the Holograms got the Josie and the Pussycats treatment, it might have worked. Jerrica/Jem was a full grown woman, not a tween.

@Deznaj666

"Let's make a movie where small children scream for 1,5 hours inside a packed movie theater!"

"Golden idea, parents will love that! Take my money!"

@poindextertunes

Julia Sweeney played Raquel, the Wolf’s squeeze, in Pulp Fiction. She owned the wrecking yard, where they got rid of Marvin’s dead body

@chroniclesofnadia_

Snow White 2025 will no doubt meet the same fate.

@walkerpantera

omg that was WAAAAY TMI about King of Staten Island. Good grief. It's a Pete Davidson movie that was cancelled. No one cared then or now.

@Cursed_Mark

"That's how GI Joe and Transformers became successful movie franchises..."

GI Joe was a successful movie franchise? All of their films flopped.

@Gabriel-is8sk

Avatar remains the most completely overrated movie in history. Cameron proved you can polish a turd so much you can make people think it's a diamond.

@fritzpollard266

Mr Boll didn’t carve a niche he carved a gutter.

@MartenFerret

Daddy is paid to yell at a screen for 90 minutes, but you're not, Son!
