My maternal grandfather's family was exceptionally long-lived, with many octogenarians, nonagenarians, and a couple of centenarians. Most of them were active and independent until nearly the very end. My great-aunt Gertrude, realizing she was having mobility issues, put herself in a very nice nursing home shortly after her 100th birthday. Having once been the self proclaimed town gossip, she very much enjoyed the social atmosphere.
She reached a point where she started "forgetting" things, and passed about 4 months later, at the age of 106.
If I could live to 100 like Aunt Gert, yes, absolutely!

We need to bring this discussion to front and center.

I have severe spinal stenosis since age 50 abd it has negatively impacted my health. It is very hard for me to go for normal walks and I put on weight since I have had this condition and I’m sure my life is being cut short by having this condition. ☹️
