Genuinely impressed how fast the marshals were to arrive with the Windon crash.
4:34 "This reminds me almost of Dan Wheldon's crash" If only he knew, what would happen.
@ 2:43 (1981 F1 Italian Grand Prix) Talk about a major #TrialByFire in the literal sense right there. Glad that our man Watson survived such a MAJOR ordeal unscathed due to the newfound safety features of the original McLaren MP4.
Windon's crash was absolutely massive! How did kevin walk away!
5:47 the way the car flipped cockpit-first into the wall looks exactly like greg moore's crash. At 5:22 it looks like the roll hoop had broken off too. Could have ended in death :(((
Always amazed that there aren't more incidents in open wheel racing, especially in the first lap. These drivers are amazing
You can argue that Monza crash actually saved countless lives since back in the day carbon fiber was considered a novel gimmick and they theorized that in a crash it will explode into carbon dust. If it weren't for that crash Alliot 1988, Berger 1989, Zanardi 1993, Hakkinen 1995, Multiple drivers 1998, Schumacher 1999, Burti 2001, Webber and Alonso 2003, Schumacher 2004, Kubica 2007, Verstappen 2015, Sainz 2015, Grosjean 2020 and other could have been career ending or fatal.
Iām so, so thankful for the aeroscreen. Like it took a minute to get used to the way it looks but my god is it so worth it. š
1:18 Cogan looking to see what was obstructing his exit.
I respect you SO much for telling me the driver names in the video unlike others who doesn't.
4:09 OH WE GOT A CRASH!
That last one was bag, roll hoop first into a wall, that's gone very badly in the past. Can't wait for #4!
5:48 So much like Greg Moore's crash, omg.
1:54 that's not GP3 ? i mean, the logo in the left say it
1989 Indy was just 'concrete and hope' wasn't it?
Pause it at 0:53, and you'll see a MASSIVE piece of metal go through the catch fence, and DAMN near slice a security guard in half that's seated in the wood booth adjoining the track surface. WOW was that close. The thing landed on his desk lol.
Rescue boys were virtually there before the cars had stopped sliding good shout lads.
Glad to see security devices in the cars did their job and drivers survived.
2:43 bruh that guy is speeding so fast there without being able to see anything reminds me of that kimi clip
