Still using my 12 Pro Max, had no reason to upgrade as I'm very much not someone who needs the newest phone each year. However, the camera upgrade compared to what I have now is what is making me heavily consider the upgrade finally.
This is the video I was looking for because I'm starting my channel, and, of course, I want all the professional equipment. Still, I can't afford it, so thank you for making this video. Knowing that all of the features are what I want and need makes me feel more comfortable buying this product.
Starting my channel last year on an iPhone X, then getting a 15 Pro Max when the X couldn’t get the iOS 17 update, meaning I couldn’t get the Blackmagic Camera App (since Filmic was a sh*tshow of subscription fees) it really enabled me to step up my game a bit. But I don’t need the 16 pro or pro max simply because the 15 pro max does everything I need it to do, and I’ve grown to almost 500 subs and almost 1500 watch time hours, just using my phone and a video mic 2 and a dji mic 2. Not editing on my phone more than I have to (shorts and reels mostly in capcut, bigger things on a legion pc in davinci resolve studio) and that workflow is great, and offers enough quality to start a channel :) And the answer to «should I upgrade» is really simple: If you have to ask if you should upgrade, then you don’t need to upgrade - simple as that :) If you need to upgrade you know you need to upgrade ;)
I’ve used my iPhone to pretty much capture all my content for my YouTube videos for the past 3 years. So I’m one of those that look forward to the new one every year.
Agreed. I’m sticking with my 15pm and when the s25 ultra drops I’ll buy that and keep both phones
I just started content creation for travel and food. I’m trying to keep it simple when traveling so I just bring my iPhone and gimbal. I am upgrading from the 14 pro max for the upgraded “ four studio quality microphones”, the upgraded wide angle camera lens, the change to usb-c since I skipped the 15, upgraded my storage to 1tb since I am taking up so much space with video (and I don’t want to pay for iCloud storage). I hope that the 16 pro max lasts for three years of content creation until I upgrade again.
I’ve still got the 14 pro max and won’t even consider upgrading till at least the iPhone 17..every three years seems about just right to me
I always upgrade yearly and sell my old phone on ebay. I can totally understand the perspective of not wanting to spend money every year but from my perspective if I'm selling my phone from last year.. I'm only spending a few hundred on the new one, so it's not even like I'm paying full price and also as more time goes by the current phone you have will lose value, so for me I might as well just sell it now while i can get the most I can for it and then get the new device. It's not for everyone but that's just my perspective. Also there was a time where I couldn't afford the latest iphone so now that I can I just like to do so lol.
The iPhone 16 Pro feels made exactly for me, and I’m a 14 Pro user. The reason being is multifaceted, but the number one reason is the audio mixing feature. I don’t have all the equipment to record audio with, and the audio tricks I’ve used to remove background noise on my videos sound like I’m underwater. I’m also a big photography nerd too, and there are a number of features my 14 Pro don’t have compared to the 15 and 16. My position is a very distinct one.
I agree with you 100%, great video! I just subscribed 🔥
Thanks Sir you are on point.
iPhone 16 pro yess👍
Bro, the iPhone 16 got me like 🤯 but real talk, upgrading every year feels like such a flex, especially when the last few gens are already so fire 🔥
I use the 13 pro for my YouTube tech videos and been waiting on the 16 pro but like you said there phones are already just too good. I think I will stay put. Thanks for the 😊 !
First of all, I love the hat. Secondly- what are your thoughts about using a phone, say the iPhone 16 Pro, as a secondary camera in content creation? You talk about using only iphone and only cameras, but what about a camera as a main source/primary shot and iphone as a secondary shot? As an example in this video: camera for your shot directly in front of you, iphone for the shot off to the side?
Apple had my wallet at 4K 120fps in Apple Log. Take my money
It’s Apple’s incremental drip. I’ve been a fan since the 70s. They’ve lost me with the drip. I’m happy with what I have. Tim’s taken enough of my money.
I'm in a bit of an odd spot. I'm switching to the 16 Pro mainly because my current phone (Pixel 6a) has become unbearably laggy and overheats. As for the 'new' features, I might use the camera button, but I don't take photos or videos often. Honestly, I couldn't care less about AI, though I'll probably give it a try since it's there.
The camera control haptic button would definitely come in handy. I have the 13 Pro.
