Hey Dan - Great video! Odd video request but I feel like every "beginner" photographer would love to see: A business setup video like steps you took to actually get your business name registered, filing tax exemptions for camera gear, maybe top 5 important pieces of information you can pass on by owning a photography / videography business. Just an idea. Thanks either way!

@michaelbell75

Like $60k worth of gear there. Totally relatable...I understand Youtuber's get paid to push the latest and greatest but very few are running around with gear bags like this. I need to start a Youtube channel for the other 98% of us.

The 85mm F1.4 is always my go to for portraits, but I’m shifting to video, and my wife will keep with the pictures ( any similarities here? 😊 ). Just picked up the FX3 and I’m in love. Also have the little Sigma fp. The fp will be my tripod camera while I’m roaming with the FX3. For lenses I got the new 16-28mm f2.8 by Sigma and the Tamron 35-150mm f2-2.8, and in the Sigma fp will be using the kit lens, 45mm f2.8.

Next week I have my first wedding as a videographer. Let’s see how it goes.

@JohnRichardsonAuthor

It would be nice to see Sony come out with a faster F2 zoom lens like the Canon 28-70 f2 or the new Tamron 35-150 F2-2.8 to reduce the need for prime lenses in event situations. Love your informative videos.

@compagnonbags

Thanks for featuring your compagnon messenger. Awesome to know you guys are part of the community 💚

@MuppetChops

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how well groomed your beard is

@cameraprepper7938

I love my A7RIV, but I will love even more an upgraded version with better sensor (80+Mp) with improved dynamic range, better IBIS, a 9.5+ megapixels EVF with 1.2x optical magnification, dials for shutter and ISO.

@JuanWan364

Fav lens 50mm F1.2

@ZamoraChristian

Dan & Sally 🙂 I also love the "what's in my bag" videos, and I think this is in my top 3 this year if not No.1 👏

@JCustom

I love my A1, then I look at my RF glass and wish the R1 would come already

@jmackultra

You guys have all the nice things!

@mazzith

Bags are outdated. Check out the Thinktank airport navigator rolling bag. I have 2 of them, one for me and one for my wife who is my se one shooter. I can fit a flash, 70-200 2.8 and a Z 7ii on one side, a 105 2.8 Z macro, a 24-70 2.8z and a second Z 7ii on the right side and I have space for my 50 1.2 Z lens and space for bottles water, or anything else I want. I could stack 2-3 more lenses or a 3rd z 7ii and a second 24-70 2.8 too instead. Best of all it’s a rolling back that will save your back and you can access it from the top without laying it down.

I'm not a pro photographer. My experience is with several things I shot for friends and relatives, like a favor mainly. I find the primes to be more suitable for me, because of the faster shutter speed they give me. I have 2 cameras (the new and the old one :) and shoot either with 24 on one and 55 on the other, if the place is tighter, or 35 on the one and 85 on the other, if it's more spacious. Never felt like I need something else, tbh. But again - limited experience with it ;)

@peapodmedia

What about memory cards and batteries? How many get you through a wedding day (video)

@dicapriowevin1120

I really looove sony cameras but the price is high

@LMActionsports

Hey Sally I was shocked that you are using the a7riv, I thought for sure you were going to pull out the canon r5. I don’t know why I was thinking that I thought you switched over to Cannon. But I truly love my Sony a7riv for all my weddings and portraits. I have my a9 for a backup but the a7riv just blows me away of the images it produces with the Sony 135mm gm and my sigma 105mm art lens. I have been using mostly primes but I picked up the sigma 28 to 70 F 2.8 and I love that little light lens. I was thinking about getting the a1 but I figured the a9, and 135mm gm, and the sigma 105mm art were a better fit for my needs than paying all that for just one body. But maybe I will find one used nice and cheap

@STELIOSins

I’m new on wedding videography with Sony a7 iv. Thinking of getting a gm lense . What do you think for the 35mm 1.4 to be my primary lense ? Do you think focus breathing would be a major issue?

@castleblackrottweilers9713

Great video.. do you have a preference on which prime lenses you prefer for a7riv vs the alpha 1 for wedding photography. If you were to get the cameras new today would you get both A1 or still keep the 7r4? Thanks

@marienj.malloy2582

Still using my a7III for wedding and portraits! But I didn’t see it on this or last video…😞

@cameraprepper7938

I only use primes ! 24mm GM, 55mm Zeiss, 135mm GM, I wish for more GM Lenses, also more compact GM with a little less aperture and a 1.4x extender for the 135mm GM ! I do not like the G-series, but I will get the Voigtländer APO-Lanthar series !
