I have one smart dog and one dumb dog. Since I have a dog door, the dumb dog has hurt himself multiple times on the fence during storms, so he has to wear a harness and lead at home on rainy days, so he can only go outside about ten feet. The smarter dog basically rules the house, and is clever enough that she always gets her way.

Den, I definitely understand of the bug screen situation because my cats loves to claw on them to the point there's massive holes in the screens. I literally had to close my windows for a while because my fear of bugs, especially my phobia for spiders, coming into my room without me knowing scares the living crap out of me! But thankfully there are some bug screens out there that are very thick so your cat will have a problem trying to claw through them.
