New subscriber here.. That Minneapolis looks like it still runs..I love that old Federal as well as the air compressor with the old hit and miss engine..That little building was set up as a meat processing system with those refrigerators and the meat saw in the back..I believe that is a Centaur tractor..Everything at that place is in running condition..(the magneto and the fuel system on that Minneapolis were in great condition like they were used regularly)..That poor guy must have been some incredible guy...From the electrical and other equipment the guy must have built nearly everything himself including the complicated equipment..That economy tractor is fantastic...There is a scuba air compressor sitting with those electric motors..anyone buying any equipment there is getting something special because they were well taken care of.I hope you bought that saw in the toolbox.. that was incredible at any cost because you know it was well taken care of...That huge wrapped up thing was a cement mixer from yesteryear...One of the first things you were looking at with the hay sticking out of it was an older Hay baler and we still use those today...-John
That was a history museum of stuff! Wow! I love it!!!
This takes me back 50 to 60 years when I would go to auctions with my father. The local auctioneer was a family friend who taught me a lot about what items to bid on and how to "read" other bidders. By the time I was 16 I had everything I needed to set up almost an entire house and garage. Of course back then there weren't as many collectors and experts to compete against.
Thanks for sharing Richard that was a lot of stuff from the pass it was cool to see a lot of machines from back in the day awesome video
I sure did like the farm auction. There was lots of good stuff. Thanks for taking us along with you.
The red new holand small square baler , vermeer hay mower , vermeer big round baler , and 5 bar rake. My cattle done just fine on round bales!
My first tricycle was a Murray π my mom didn't have a lot of money π° but she saved and got it for me it was a crazy cool purple with chrome fenders I thought I was it Lol π€£
You're right, that's way too much stuff to just have one auctioneer. I think they should have also just set up a booth, allowed people to pick what they wanted and paid for it. Sometimes the auction style isn't practical. Just made it a giant yard sale. The first thing you saw looked like a walk behind seed planter, you put seeds in the little hopper and pushed it, the seeds would dispense. The second machine in question was a hay bailer, it made square hay bales. Lots of very cool stuff to be sure!! Thanks for sharing, Richard!
You should do a "Will it Run" on the postal van. Then fill it with your tools and supplies you bring to your will it run episodes. Call it Lil Will. Ha! Lol I'm rootin fer ya!
Thank you Richard for taking us along with you I appreciate it so much, I wish I could hang out with you sometime during an Auction it would be an Honor.
Great video of the auction, Richard! I like that old Federal truck and the Beaver tractor! Cheers!ππ
If I went to that auction I'd be broke now,
Hey Richard I used to make air tanks out of empty propane tanks all you need is an air regulator
Loving that beautiful flat bed truck..
Hope you had a great time at the auction. Hope you get the stuff you want. Good luck Richardπππ¨π¦
Those tractors are sweet! I have a Silver King model 42 and that same model Economy myself.
Lots of old items there Richard. Looks like you said. Going to take forever. So, I would be a little discouraged as well. Iβm sure you will reveal any purchases. π―ππ
