@pal54321

and remember, sony's own firmware bricked their own cameras and there's no recourse.

@LMActionsports

I had a sigma 24-70 still under warranty and I was having Focus issues so I sent it into Sigma to have them recalibrate it. I contacted me and said it was going to be over $800 to repair it. I asked him why am I getting charged for it they said well you dropped your lens and it has an outside Barrel scuff on the outside of the lens and it needs replaced. I told them the lens is almost brand new it's never been dropped and it don't have no scuff marks on it you must be looking at somebody else's lens cuz I have a video and pictures of the actual lens I sent you when I was packaging it up. Next thing they said in the email yes your lens will be recalibrated and sent back at no cost. WTF what were you trying to pull over on me telling me that the whole outside of the lens Barrel needed replaced because it was scuffed up . They actually sent me an entire different lens and with a different serial number and a brand new warranty on it. So I don't know why they replaced the whole lens but you have to watch out for those camera services. Don't get me wrong I own mostly Sigma lenses but you still got that keep an eye on your gear and not get nothing pulled over on you

@wonder111

In Canada, to repair a broken GM 100-400mm, it took about 3-4 months, with a final cost of just under $1300.00. Lens was repaired in the US. My understanding is that they do not produce parts, but wait for a broken lens under replacement warranty to come in, as the prime source for replacement parts.

@LtDeadeye

People should know that in applying for membership, you need to meet their criteria in order to qualify. Theoretically, according to what I saw, one could own a Sony A1, a Sony 400mm GM and a Sony 600mm GM (~30k worth of gear) and still not qualify. You have own at least two eligible Sony bodies and three eligible Sony lenses.

@sidvicious3129

Sony just dropped Shutter Angle this morning for Fx3 and the Fx30!!!

@Graveltongue

How spooky! Just knocked my 100-400 GM to the floor from a low table onto a linoleum floor. Hood took most of the damage but the lens is now inoperable - body won’t acknowledge it. No obvious signs of damage. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be an expensive repair 😢

@canucklehead28

Bullshit. I used love your videos.

@snappycattimesten

Over 10 minutes to say $300.

@LtDeadeye

I’m aching to hear details about your lens rental experience! I use them.
