The fact the mother knew the truth about her daughter’s real father and didn’t say a word is outrageous. She should have told her husband about this sooner. Now all he got was a broken heart once he found out he was not the father.

Out of all the plot twists on SVU, THIS one in particular, for me, was perhaps the WILDEST plot twist. You could feel it building too during that scene in the squad room, like it was finally going to all come out all at once. And then afterwards the daughter literally says "I knew my father could have never been a garbage man". Wowsers.

So mom KNOWS that the music teachers is a abuser, knowingly keeps it secret from her husband and lets her daughter(the abuser's biological daughter) go with the abuser and only lets loser the secret as a means of curing the abuser be damed the emotional consequences on her family. I ge that she was a victim but...DAME, that's messed up.
