@ModernGurlz

we’ll be releasing a handful of wedding-related videos over the next year or so but if you’d like to see the behind the scenes of my actual wedding you can follow me over on instagram 🙈 https://www.instagram.com/lifeaccordingtotessa/

I am SO obsessed with the elegance of Cinderella wedding dress. It is classic yet not boring, beautifully feminine but not in a exagerated way. I also love the pop of black in the choker, we rarely see Disney princesses using black.

@OpticalSorcerer

Fun fact: Ariel, Cinderella, and Tiana are the only Disney princesses who get married in their theatrical films.

@jrgrimm6091

In 101 Dalmatians, I always assumed Anita and Roger eloped because they couldn't afford a typical wedding, thus no dress

@indestarbright9646

I liked Tiana wedding gown/dress best also. It had a modern, simple yet flattering, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy like quality. If you have a nicely shaped body, this dress will flatter without looking overdone. I also liked Tiana's lily-pad inspired gown, because it's not just a white, puffy dress.

@emilylogan6052

You left out Nita from Brother Bear 2! Her buckskin wedding dress is SO PRETTY

@cactoestrela4840

Fun fact: the reason why Frufru's dress is so simple is because it was her mother's dress.

@zhanelv9459

I think it's ridiculous that Jasmine is wearing a white dress on her wedding. Even if it cartoon, they should've tried to make it look less european and more like the places the story was inspired by, it would be nice to see a colourful dress with many ornaments

@ladydiamond6611

"would you be interested in another wedding dress ranki-" YES!!!!

@Eszra

A note on Katrina's wedding dress. During the time period, it was not common to wear white, it wasn't until Queen Victoria that it became the norm. Most woman up until then even wealthy women would wear their best dress. Many times their best Sunday attire. Or if very poor what ever they had. For wealthy women they would wear the best they could normally afford. Her gown would actually be very opulent for the time and matches her personality.

@BrythonicHounds

Very enjoyable video! One note, as a historian and former nun: the drapey thing Maid Marian wears IS in fact a veil, not a wimple. A wimple wraps around the neck and cheeks and may cover the head underneath a veil, but a veil is a piece of material draped over the top of the head like Maid Marian is wearing (and her fox ears underneath are covered by a cap, also not a wimple). Thank you for including that concept art! Such a missed opportunity not to emphasize her fox ears with a hennin!

@X24453

I haven't seen Mulan 2, but I would imagine the in-universe reason for her outfit was that it WAS her matchmaker outfit and her best dress, so it was an appropriate pick for her wedding.

@aliceinavalon

My mother was married around the time The Little Mermaid came out and had her wedding dress made after Ariel's! She brought the photo of Ariel to the dressmaker! Also loved your rankings!! 🥰🤍✨

@werciatwercia

We're so happy for you girl!!

@biancabrounti649

A romcom wedding dress vid would be fun but I’d love to hear more thoughts on Non-Disney cartoon wedding dresses! Thumbelin and Odette come to mind first but there’s lots more that i think would be fun to rank too

@lidiafsr

0:28 wait WHAT are you engaged?! congrats! please show us the dresssss I love this channel and your narration so much

@persephonestudy

"As someone who is currently trying to figure out what to wear to their own wedding" EXCUSE ME??? I didn't know you are going to get married!!!! Congratulations!!!!!

@romeoandthechickenfeather

Jasmine's dress just by itself would also be at home in a sci-fi film.

It's those shoulders.

I‘ve gotta defend Rapunzel here. It’s a German story and the dresses are clearly inspired by traditional southern German clothing. Especially the final look of the original movie resembles a Mieder, a blouse that is often worn with a skirt instead of a dirndl. And while it’s sad they reused it for the wedding it is true to modern reality that she might wear a a white version if traditional clothing rather than a classic wedding dress. I would argue Rapuzels dresses that are only inspired by traditional clothing is more acurate than most other „dirndls“ we‘ve seen in american media.

@megan.koontz

One thing I do think is cute about Ellie's wedding dress is that the thick straps with little circles (flowers? lace? idk) look like the overalls with buttons that she's wearing when she and carl first meet
