My dad lived in Richmond,VA and spoke to Ali while leaving a restaurant. When my dad moved to Chicago, Ali was in Washington park and recognized him. Even told him where he had seen him before. Awesome dude!

@UKindness4

As a Flight Attendant I have had Muhammad Ali on several times and always the most kind, respectful and so filled with class. I adored this man! He was America's best and Billy really told you who he was and he is right!

@mikehorne4840

I was in tears, not of laughter, but in the way Billy Crystal spoke, it spoke volumes about Muhammad Ali,it also spoke volumes about Billy Crystal,they were truly brothers. Absolute oratory perfection.

@crowlee5111

One of the greatest speeches of all time. The champ would be proud of you Billy. Billy crystal is not only a great comedian but a great human being.

@BillPowell1203

Our fourth grade class was on a field trip in NYC in the seventies and someone spotted Ali walking on the sidewalk next to the bus. We all began waving and shouting at him and he came on to our bus!! He was amazing and told us all to stay in school and study hard. Really a kind, wonderful man.

@johnking7953

It 2 am and I am amazed as I listen to Billy Crystal a Jewish man speaking about his friend and friendship with Muhammad Ali a Muslim. I am so touched to see what true friendship really looks like thank you.

@Royhauya-uw2kr

Will always respect this man, soft spoken yet steel solid, always smiling and knocking yet serious, sincere and unapologetically ambitious. The MUHAMMAD ALI.

@yyzblader1947

Such a gracious man Billy Christal is. To eulogize his wonderful friend Muhammad Ali.

@vicm3187

This is the best, most genuine, heartwarming eulogy I have ever heard. Kudos Billy Crystal

@pokshark7958

The best quote...
"He is gone..but he will never die.. he was my big brother.."

@auriemma1727

Met Ali at the very first Wrestlemania. He was leaving Madison Square Garden, in his limo and the vehicle stopped for traffic.
Not being sure who was inside me and my sisters walked up to the limo, the window came down, and there was Ali and a few others. I yelled "CHAMP!" and he smiled. I was wearing my Giants football hat, handed it to him with my sharpie and he signed the bill "Ali"
I screamed THANK YOU and he said "be careful going home kids"
Still have the hat. Will be buried with it.

@JimTayGameToday

Billy is so eloquent, he conjures images with his beautiful words like a brilliant artist with paint to canvas. Ali was and will always be the greatest.

@jerrytjohnson2263

I met him once in 1976 I was 9 years old he was running in detroit (where I grew up) he stopped for a bunch of us kids & signed our arms "float like a butterfly & his name" even showed me the right way to through a solid punch<that lesson never failed me! God bless you Muhammad Ali I hope your in heaven!

@ebukahjoseph8016

Don't know how many times I've watched this piece... Still watching.
Well done Billy.
Ali the greatest

@lordrayden9111

"But didn't he make all our lives a little bit better than they were?."
Beautiful statement..

@anniebattaglia1929

What a magnificent eulogy to your friend Billy….You taught us all a lesson here in dignity…. Thank you Billy for that speech directly from your heart….Love you so much Billy Crystal

@randomuser6175

Beautiful beautiful speech. Billy Crystal made people laugh on Ali's funeral and I imagine Ali would want that too. And that imitation is spot on. Much respect for the both of them

@rolandosarabia810

I just don't get tired of listening to this great speech. One of the most beautiful eulogies I have ever heard. You can tell he wrote it, and meant every word expressed. A true friendship, between two great individuals!

@sergeantmasson3669

I've watched this many times and it still brings tears. 1979, I had a backstage 35 minute conversation with Ali at the LA Forum for his retirement party TV broadcast. The conversation was supposed to be about a production prop I had made for the show. Ali didn't care about that. He wanted to talk about my personal history and some of his own. That night, I met the Ali the person that he really was. I now wish that I had recorded that conversation. Ali was an amazing person on the inside as well.

@TerryMcGearyScotland

You’ll never hear a better or more sincere send-off than that, will you?
