Despite the movies not living up to their full potential, Eddie Redmayne was perfect casting as Newt, and us Hufflepuffs finally received a Hufflepuff lead. 💛

@ruairiedwards8616

Newt Scamander is hands down one of my favourite characters from the Wizarding World franchise

@rubygracemoseley8144

The fact that Newt and Luna later on become related makes so much sense

@iamsherlocked7448

Man, I love Newt as a fellow Hufflepuff it is great to see someone like him get so far in the wizarding world and he reminds me of me sometimes because of how much he loves animals.

@cpt.deadpool90

I actually really enjoyed Jacob as a character in this series, in the first film it was funny and entertaining to see this story unfold with a muggle pov.

@Positivekitten

Eddie Redmayne was absolutely “adorkable” as Newt. The movies had so much potential because of him, but they blew it on too many other points .

@abdelkaderabuagla65

I was real disappointed when I heard the fantastic beasts films were cancelled. I liked the story, even if the story was pivoting toward the beef between dumbeldore and gridlewald.

@IzukuMidoriya38855

I hope that, despite the fact that there will not be any more Fantastic Beasts movies, there will at least be books about whatever happens after Secrets of Dumbledore.

@DinorahRawlins

Thanks for talking about the lovely Newt and Tina. I LOVED the first movie, and lamented how everything just crumbled down later from Credence to Nagini to the "epic" battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald ( the Potter/Malfoy ones were more impressive in my opinion). I think Credence Barebone would have been one of the best characters in the Wizarding world had they given him a logical past. They had everything to link him to Salazar Slytherin. They could have used his power properly during the battle. He would have lead us to Nagini's past and future . They could have used their relationship and the crow-snake fable to open the second movie in an unforgettable circus act to mislead us trying to understand his true identity, they could have used the times they were living also in the muggle world. The only person known to have survived an obscurus due to unmatched power...Quite honestly, ay to waste your oportunities. Oh, and "animagus", doesn't it come from Latin? If it does the pronunciation is different from what the movies or Rowling say. But so is the case for many other words like "leviosa" , "Draco", etc. The Latin "a" does not sound like a long a. And if the word is spelled with "g" preceding "u", it will sound as in "goose" . But then again, I can't remember how they spell it in the Wizarding world.

@alexia.i.c

Newt is my fav FB character and Luna my fav HP character, so the fact that they end up being related is so soothing to me 🥹
They’re both such sweet and pure characters who deserve so much more recognition ! 🙏🏻

The just makes me sad we're not going to see any more FB films. I'm sure there are fans who might have had problems with how certain aspects of the films moved completely away from the actual beasts, but I'm thinking most of us would've watched our way through them to see the final duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. And we only got to see Mads as Grindelwald in one film, and (sorry for all the Depp fans out there) he blew Johnny out of the water. He was sophisticated, urbane, had a much better accent to match the character biography, and had amazing chemistry with Jude Law. And as strange as Ezra Miller is in real life, I wanted to see what would've happened to Credence (Aurelius) as well.
