I remember feeling so sad listening to this song 11 years ago, now I'm happy I found it so I can feel sad again.
My father showed me this song, now I'm addicted to it.
I feel so bad for the people just now discovering Just Jack. He's amazing!
"if you are not happy it is not important how you're creative" that song taught me that. Thank you Just Jack.
My Sister's friend made us a mixtape for our car and this song was in it. I have been listening since 2007 and didn't know the actual name. I am so happy i found it. The song brings the purest and happiest memories back
Love how this is basically just speaking to a tune so chill and casual
Still listening in November 2019. Never knew this song had a video!
I used to love this song back in the day, brilliant lyrics. The song is about finding out he is going to be a dad, he's happy smoking weed, getting high and living a care-free life so he isn't sure it was a good idea ("I'm loving Mary Jane, flying with Lois Lane onboard a bullet train, don't know yet if I'm glad I came") He then comes to terms with it and realises he needs to change his ways so stops smoking weed, getting high and knows he has a responsability in life and is happy being a dad.
This is such a timeless classic :-)
1:17 that beautiful little chorus has always stuck with me. It's the biggest hook in the song and yet is only repeated once.
I get this writer's block, it comes as quite a shock, And now i'm stuck between a hard place and the biggest rock, In my own head consumed. I sit back in my room, Its like the tapestries of life get tangled in the loom, I'm like a butterfly, caught in a hurricane, My pulse is quickening as my heart plays a new refrain Im lovin' Mary Jane, flyin' with Lois Lane, On board a bullet train Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Sometimes at night i think too much, About life and love and music and stuff I'm livin' in the past, My clocks an hour fast, Should really go and make a coffee but i can't be arsed, I've lost my mobile phone, You'll have to call my home, On second thoughts just leave a message when you hear the tone, My grimy windows show the early morning glow, Another day, another dollar in my one man show, Im lovin' Mary Jane, flyin' with Lois Lane, On board a bullet train Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Don't know yet if i'm glad i came Don't know yet if i'm glad i came I fell out with Mary Jane, I don't speak to Lois Lane and i missed that bullet train But now i know i'm glad i- I fell out with Mary Jane, I don't speak to Lois Lane and i missed that bullet train But now i know i'm glad i- I fell out with Mary Jane, I don't speak to Lois Lane and i missed that bullet train But now i know i'm glad i- I fell out with Mary Jane, I don't speak to Lois Lane and i missed that bullet train But now i know i'm glad i came But now i know i'm glad i came But now i know i'm glad i came
Still an absolute banger in 2022 , so relevant if you catch the meaning. Push past the things holding you down and succeed 👌
Ive been looking for this song for 6 years! I first heard this song on pandora back in 2009 and forgot what station it was. I even used yahoo answers to find this song but the only answers I got were songs that wern't even close to this. Then one night at 2 pm, I'm listining to the Gorillaz station and this song pops out! I found it!!!
2016 and this is still a wicked tune
Sometimes at night i think too much.....about life and love and music and stuff!!! Crazy how time flies, i vibed on this track during late study nights.
That bass guitar! Brilliant!
In 2007, my sister won a stack of CDs from a radio station. I hardly knew Jack before then, but this album quickly became a favourite. 👌 😊
So i was watching telly the other day, and someone on it said the words "writers block" and im like, hang on, i remember a song called that and vaguely started remembering how it went. So i open my laptop and google "writers block song" and here i am, after all these years, a tune a completely forgot about.
don't how how can he be so chill. It makes me realise rap ain't sure not the problem... but people that sing it must be. This guy sing with his heart, and that's all it matters, however it would be rock, rap, jazz, whatever.
