A week or so back I'd have been skeptical about ths but I did stumble across a video of yours the other day where you discuss cholesterol (in that high LDL is not necessarily a bad thing unless your LDL type b is high), omega 6 to omega 3 ratios, triglicerides to HDL ratios, insulin resistance, causes of blood vessel inflammation etc. That one somewhat unconventional 15 minute or so video confirmed all the research I'd done to date on metabolic health (on and off for a few years). You clearly know your stuff so I'll give this go for sure!
My sugar addiction is the most difficult hurtle I will try this thank you Dr Mike ❤️🙏❤️
thank you for this reminder. will definitely try to incorporate it more into my day. i drank matcha for the first time today also ever since i have started working out, my cravings for processed food and snacks have gone down. i have never restricted myself, i feel like the craving just isnt there anymore.
I really enjoy your nutrition videos! I've been making smoothies for breakfast for a few years now, and I find I do feel healthier. Some of my recipes (I bought a smoothie book when I first got started) have honey in them, but I don't like the taste, so I leave it out and use bananas and dates instead. I've gotten into adding a tablespoon of ground flaxseed to my smoothies pretty consistently. I also eat a lot of salad. By "a lot" I mean about a pound or two of raw veggies, and I like to switch it up. When I'm running low on salad stuff, I like to use a random vegetable generator on the internet to help make my grocery list. It's gotten me trying some things I normally wouldn't have thought of, like bitter melon and chayote.
this guy is every mother's dream for their daughter. ❤😁😇 im a GUY and id marry 'im!
I drink 2 smoothie’s per day. It dramatically improved my health. 1) Beetroot, Cucumber, Apple, Kale 2) 10gm home made Moringa powder, 5gm homemade curry leaves powder, 5gm chia seeds, 5gm homemade Amla powder & kefir milk.
I am 68 years old. Since 2012 I have been starting my day with a green smoothie. Often a 2nd super smoothie. Mostly eat organic. When I was younger I was always sick. Now I am healthier and Stronger than I have ever been.
Making smoothing is really a fun thing to do.. You cannn add things like broccoli, carrots, or kale. Also depending on the season you can add those seasonal fruits like honeydew, cantaloupe, kiwi, persimmon or cherries (without the pit please) I definitely recommend leaving watermelon out😅it does something weird when you blend it And if you want to thicken your smoothy freeze the bananas or some of the berries Hope these help💗💕
I use that 30 to 35 g of soluble fiber. And I’ve been using Monk food for about five years. and for some reason the Monk fruit winds up in the closeout stores. Thanks for letting me know that I’m on the right track✔️
Great advice on the super smoothies! I use a similar strategy but instead of smoothies I eat steel cut oats with chia seeds, hemp seeds, frzn strawberries, frzn blueberries, cinnamon, ginger, and walnuts every morning. All ingredients are organic and bought in bulk so they are relatively inexpensive. They fuel my morning workouts and keep me satiated until lunch. I also employ time restricted eating with a 11/13 schedule. Eat breakfast at 7am and no more food after 6pm. I'd like to get down to a 10/14 but for now this is working well for my gut health and overall energy levels.
I met a 97 year old woman as an interpreter, she was sharp mentally in our native language but had forgotten English. She smoked one cigarette a day and drank wine. A forty year old i know had a disabling stroke, he was a health nut. Ironman Stoff like that. Health is being slim, healthy and to have a mission in life
Thanks Doc ill start drinking it ASAP 🙏
Thanks to your video where you compare the sugars and the affect I remove sugar and processed foods. I lost 35 lbs in 9 weeks. I have never felt better in my life. Thank you!
hello Doctor! how are you? what brought the change? what has changed since the sudden diet change? how are is your solid food intake? how many meals a day do you take in? do you find yourself taking in more fluids than solid foods? how many times a day, week do you extract bodily waste? are you currently continuing this new method? how is your body function since? how long are you in this method of in take?
Thank you Doctor Mike; I love your smoothies and I agree with all the great and important health tips.
I bought some of the things in your video a couple months ago and just made my first smoothie yesterday. The cacao powder made everything taste like Nestlé Quick. Looking forward to seeing the changes.
I've been following ur smoothie receipe ever since u uploaded it. thank you so much, my health has gotten so much better. Chia seeds are a game changer for sure. I'm gonna try this out too, thanks again Mike!!
Dr. Hansen, I have enjoyed listening to your super smoothie videos. I couldn't agree more about their health benefits and how much better the person can feel in various ways. Thought I mentioned two superfoods that you might like to research and include in your smoothies. And that is Chlorella A and Spirulina. They both have a high content of chlorophyll and vital nutrients. Also Chlorella (type A) is very good for getting rid of heavy metals in your body and cleansing ~ Enjoy ☺️ and thank you for your knowledgeable videos! 🤗
We definitely need more doctors on board with the - fix it with nutrition first - approach.
